The story is set in the future, after a catastrophic flood has wiped out much vreakangels the earth I thinkand it follows a group of teens with psychic powers through their rough and uncertain lives in a broken down England.
The FreakAngels are essentially in charge. Kady, reminding me so much of Sandman’s Delirium don’t ask me why! Simply said, I loved this series. The first book explores this strange new world and its inhabitants while giving the reader an idea that there is a potential for any number of storylines to develop, and if you become as interested in the characters as I did that’s a very exciting prospect.
FreakAngels, Volume 1 by Warren Ellis
The art is really well done. We’re quickly introduced to characters and the fact that the story is their lives, comprised of their drama and interaction through the maintenance and protection of the city. Mar 06, Sesana rated it really liked freakanhels Shelves: Hmmmm, I love me my post-apocalypse.

O Considering I’ve read exactly one freskangels book or “graphic novel” a term coined by all those comic book nerds to sound like a grown-up all year, I figured this freaksngels a nice place to start. You’re confessing to murder.
Having read the first freamangels though, I only wish I’d read it earlier. OTOH when things get crackling it’s hard to choose between the frenetic pace of the story and the dreamy quality of the illustrations.

FreakAngels, Volume 1
The dude without pants was definitely my favourite in this volume. I don’t want to spoil any story elements, so I’ll leave it at that. While the first volume introduces a number of hanging plot points that are clearly meant to be addressed later in the series, the plot does take most of the volume to actually get itself up and ffreakangels.
